WSU’s Intensive American Language Center (IALC) faculty facilitates Academic English, International Master’s (IM), and Undergraduate Foundation (UF) programs. Programs are offered for undergraduate and graduate students and designed to help you through your first year of study at WSU.
Academic English comprises five 8-week sessions in a year and IM and UF programs are 1 to 2 semesters. All programs combine English language study, academic skills and development, and academic coursework in a customized program that gives you the skills you need to succeed. Completing the WSU Academic English or an IM/UF program will allow you to transition to a degree-seeking program at WSU Pullman or any WSU campus that offers your intended degree program.
